T IN THE PARK GOES LOCAL
For the very first time T have joined forces with a group called “Perthshire Farmers & Producers” to bring a taste of what Perthshire has to offer. The driving force behind the group is local farmer and businessman Jim Fairlie, who believes in a simple ethos “Farming and food production are one in the same, so treat both with equal respect and take pride in it all.”
For their first year we have kept the group to a manageable size without compromising on the variety of food that's available.
The menu starts with a local producer, bringing you vegetarian soup, traditionally made stovies and a range of Panini sandwiches filled with local speciality foods.
The other stall holders are farmers, offering a burger with a difference using Native Cross Galloway Beef and a Moroccan style lamb sausage, both made from recipes by local award winning chef “Graeme Pallister”.
For something that little bit different Wild Boar burgers completes the menu for your main course.
Perthshire is famed the world over for the quality of its berries and have led the world in research to enhance the health benefits and environmental benefits in berry breeding. What better way to finish off your main meal than with Perthshire berries with ice cream made on a dairy farm situated less than 25 miles away from T in the Park.
The “Perthshire Farmers & Producers” will be situated not far from the Ceilidh tent and have created a seating area for you to enjoy the quality of food on offer and take time out to relax for ten minutes before getting back to what T is all about, the music.
Enjoy.
ONE ROCKS THIS SUMMER AT T IN THE PARK
One Big Issue
- One billion people in the world don’t have access to clean water and each year two million die as a result.
- 1.8 million of these deaths are children under 10 years old.
- Without fresh, clean water children cannot go to school to get an education. Instead they spend their days walking for up to five hours to collect often dirty drinking water.
One fantastic solution
- Simply buying One water makes a difference; all our profits fund sustainable roundabout powered Playpump water systems.
- As children play on the roundabout fresh, clean water is pumped from deep underground for use by the entire community. Giving children back the time to go to school.
- A simple idea that is changing the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.
One great success story
- Together we have raised over £4+ million.
- Funded 600+ Playpump water systems.
- Changed the lives of over one million people.
