Have a Healthy T

Have a Healthy T

We work hard all year round to make sure you - the loyal T in the Park faithful – have the best possible weekend, but there are a few things you can do yourself to make sure you get the most out your weekend. In order to last the pace you need to look after yourself and your mates, watch your alcohol intake; don’t overdo it, drink water regularly and eat 3 square meals a day.  It’s also important to take a little time out of the hectic festival atmosphere and relax.  Ultimately, this means you’ll have a better weekend.  So make sure that between catching your favourite bands old and new, making new friends and bumping into old ones you make the time to visit Healthy T.

Look after yourself and your friends and you will see more bands, have more fun and keep going for longer!

refuel - keep on dancing to one more tune

Try something delicious from the global festival kitchen – this year’s menu includes a selection of delicious, wholesome foods including:
Healthy Scottish produce from Food from Argyll; Cullen Skink, organic beef burgers,
sushi, noodles, soup, stovies, crêpes, falafels, and wood-oven baked pizza,
smoothies from the juice bar, fresh fruit and much more

rehydrate - free water

There is a public drinking point standpipe situated within Healthy T.  Free water points are available across the site – bring an empty refillable plastic bottle to make sure you’ve always got some with you.

relax - its about mind, body and soul

Relax in the magical environment to chilled-out tunes.  Watch graffiti artists working their magic amongst beautifully lit trees.  Catch a breakdancing display, or go tribal by joining the free drumming workshops. Indulge in a massage from the selection of holistic treatments available within the beautiful Bedouin tent.

refresh

One for the ladies!  Posh ladies toilets situated next to Healthy T with glamour puss facilities including hair dryers, straighteners, mirrors and freshen-up products

Responsible Drinking
  • Try alternating soft drinks or water for alcoholic ones
  • Food helps absorb alcohol and limits how quickly it gets into your bloodstream, so it’s a good idea to have a bite to eat before or while you are drinking alcohol.
Illegal Substances
  • Whether you've taken drugs, are thinking of taking them, or are just curious and want to know more about them, getting to the facts is one of the most important things you can do
  • Knowledge gives you the power to make decisions for yourself, and to help other people when they don't know what to do
  • To get the facts go to www.knowthescore.org or phone the free confidential helpline – 0800 587 5879
  • Please remember drugs are as illegal at T in the Park as they are anywhere else
Sexual health
  • Take your time to think about your options.  Is T the right place for you to have sex with someone you’re already with or someone new?  Make your mind up beforehand and you will be less likely to change it.
  • What ever you decide make sure that you have spoken to your partner, this means that you both know where you stand.  Don’t feel pressured though, it’s your decision and only you know what is right for you.
  • It’s important to know what you want and to make sure you know and respect what you partner wants too.
  • Free condoms and sexual health advice will be available throughout the weekend.  You can catch up with them in Healthy T where they will have a private space for you to chat.
