TRAVELLING BY CAR

If you simply 'must' take the car, then please car-share where possible. Not only will you have folks to keep you company and chip in for fuel but you can make your journey to the festival more eco-friendly.

We are selling car park tickets in advance again this year. They are available to by from Ticketmaster for £17.50 until 30th June.

If you don’t buy in advance it will cost you more at the gate so you are advised to purchase now!

Please note that if you have not purchased a car park ticket from Ticketmaster in advance, you will need to pay in again if your vehicle leaves and re-enters the car park.

Please ensure you follow the event road signs as the traffic system changes each year.

TRAFFIC SCOTLAND
Travel - Traffic Scotland logo

Don't just jump in the car and take a chance. Traffic Scotland is once again working in partnership with T in the Park to ensure travel to and from the event is as trouble free as possible. A dedicated mini-site has been created detailing all the travel options and information for this event http://trafficscotland.org/tinthepark/  The site provides useful information on what transport options are available to help you plan your journey in advance.  In addition, dedicated real-time travel information will be provided during the event to ensure you have all the up-to-date information you need. The key will be to check regularly for updates leading up to and during the event. This service is part of the festivals ongoing commitment to addressing the travel issues encountered at T in the Park 2007.

DROP OFF POINTS

Please only use the designated drop off points.
Drop off points are for private cars and taxis only, specifically to drop off and go. You cannot park here.
Mini buses drop off at the coach park. To avoid confusion, remember the name of your drop off point and make sure that the driver coming to collect you knows it too.

CAR PARK RULES

Vehicle searches will be in place over the weekend.  If there is evidence of car park rules being broken, access to the festival may be refused and vehicles removed.  Make sure you familiarise yourself with the following Car Park Rules…

  • No entry to car parks without a valid car park ticket
  • No entry to car parks without a valid event ticket
  • No sleeping in vehicles
  • No camping in car parks
  • No vehicle movement between car parks
  • Vans are not permitted for safety and security reasons
  • No bonfires or barbeques
  • No forms of unauthorised entertainment
  • No trading from vehicles or in car parks

Each car park has a number so make sure you take note of where you park on arrival so you can find your way back!

Please note: it is not possible to bring your vehicle on to the campsite and entrance to the car parks will not be allowed unless you and your entire party travelling in your vehicle are each in possession of a T in the park 2009 festival ticket.

VANS

For safety and security reasons, vans will be subject to search prior to entering the car parks and parking will be charged at £35 (standard car park ticket + £17.50 surcharge).  Car park rules apply.

Van definition: a vehicle which is built primarily to carry goods or other loads and does not have factory fitted seats and windows in the back (includes vehicles which have undergone modification to contain additional seats).

The event's licence conditions prohibit sleeping in vehicles.  If you are found sleeping in your vehicle or carrying any equipment indicating that you plan to sleep in your vehicle, or if your vehicle contains any items deemed to be unsafe or prohibited, entry to the car parks will not be permitted.  This is necessary to ensure the safety of those at T in the Park - regular vehicle security checks are in place.

See ticket page for information on campervans.
