We’re all aware of environmental issues and what we can do to minimize the effect of modern day living on the planet and keep it beautiful for future generations.

As a festival, we wanted to become more environmentally responsible, and we try to do everything that we can to be greener. We can all make a difference, so you can definitely get involved and help us...

T in the Park is committed to reducing its impact on the environment and works hard to be as green as possible.  Our recent Green T survey shows that T in the Parkers are no different – when you’re at home over 80% of you recycle, reduce waste, use low energy light bulbs and turn electrics off when they’re not in use.  When you’re enjoying the festival you try to behave the same - 95% of you feel that it is fairly or very important that T in the Park is as green as possible and 55% say that Green T has affected your attitude towards green issues.

Green T is a whole scheme of environmentally minded initiatives – some of which have been in place at T in the Park for many years.  Our hard work has paid off! T in the Park is the only UK festival to have been rewarded in 2008 with both the Yourope (European Festival Association) Green’n’Clean award and The Greener FestivalUK Festival Awards. T in the Park is also the only Scottish event to have partnered with Julie’s Bicycle, an independent charity seeking standardised industry environmental management. But that doesn’t mean we (or you) can stop there!

This year the fantastic Redeem, Reduce, Recycle Cup deposit initiative will be back - where you pay a deposit for your beer cup and claim it back when you return it! Being green can be as simple as that! accolade at the
